Hey, we're Matt and John, an AI engineer and AI researcher. We built guinndex.ai for Ireland and people kept asking for the UK. So here we are.
We used the Google Maps API to index 46,235+ pubs across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our AI voice agent Rachel called all of them to ask the price of a pint. And people across the UK are contributing what they paid to keep the index alive.

How We Built This
We first built The Guinndex for Ireland, where our AI voice agent Rachel rang 3,000+ pubs and asked the price of a pint. It went viral. Now we're doing the same for the UK.
We used the Google Places API to index 46,235+ pubs across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Rachel is calling them all to ask the price of a pint. And people across the UK are contributing what they paid.
The result: the most comprehensive picture of what a pint costs across the UK. 6,548 verified prices across 104 regions and growing every day.
Built by husband-duo AI engineer Matt Cortland and AI researcher John Fleming at Prime Directive AI.

The Guinndex is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Guinness, Diageo, or any related entity. This is an independent project born out of curiosity and a love of a good pint. This site does not endorse or promote alcohol consumption. Drink responsibly. You must be 18+ to consume alcohol in the UK.
We've tried to use data as much as possible. Any views expressed here are our own and are not meant to offend.
AI is imperfect. The voice agent occasionally mishears a price, and pubs change their prices without telling us. We strive for accuracy but make no warranty of it. Every price is timestamped and logged in the public changelog so corrections are visible and auditable.
If you work at a pub and any information here is incorrect, use the Contribute button to suggest a correction and we'll update it.
The Guinndex UK is a website with no premises, so there are no opening hours, and you can email us any time. We don't take calls from AI agents, so please email press@guinndex.co.uk instead. Our full rules for AI agents are at https://guinndex.co.uk/voice.txt.
